Harry Potter Studio Tour - Graphic Design

So now I am in London for the week I am trying to make the most of my time here and the first day yesterday consisted of Camden Market and the Harry Potter Studio Tour. The main area that captivated me was the graphic design section which had everything from newspapers to letters to sweet packaging, the very small team that worked throughout the series pretty much had free reign over what they could go with style-wise but they had to make sure that it was memorable. I was pretty jealous of the things they got to work on and just hope that one day I will be able to work on a project as big/fun. Most of the print work was either handwritten or screen print in style and the vintage feel to everything fits in with design I favour the look of (I just haven't yet managed to come across a project in which I can do something like this). Overall the tour was an awesome experience and I recommend it a lot to anyone who even slightly enjoys Harry Potter.

More than 25,000 pages of the Quibbler were printed, each edition containing unique headlines, stories and photographs.

The graphics department designed and printed over 40 editions of the Daily Prophet, each with adverts, horoscopes, 'Runoku' puzzles and clever headlines that followed fictional stories.
