Made North Design Conference 2012

On Tuesday I had the opportunity to go to the Made North Design Conference with Lorna and Nic. It was great to finally be able to go to a conference without having to trek all of the way down to London and this made me feel all the more excited as I am local to Liverpool. Seeing the talent up here as well as knowing that companies are succeeding in getting design work in all shapes and forms gives me hope that when I graduate I will be able to get a creative job.

Overall the day was a success in my eyes, even though I work in graphic design it is good to see that the design industry is so varied and to get a glimpse at a few of the speakers design processes was the interesting part for me seeing as I am looking into it for my dissertation. I won't go into detail as you can look over the official website and get all of the information about the speakers and links to their website but it was an interesting day that allowed me to gain a lot of ideas and expand the outlook on what I want to do as a career.

So bring on the 2013 conference next February!
